FEATURES

The ‘Governo all’Uso Toscano’ is an ancient, distinctly Tuscan winemaking technique dating back to the 14th century. Today it is rarely used, largely because of the complexity of the process. Its defining feature is a second fermentation, used to help stabilise the wine and enhance its fresh, fruity character. The result is a lively, easy-drinking wine with a relatively high residual sugar, best enjoyed young. Storico shows an intense ruby-red colour and a fruit-forward bouquet of cherries and raspberries. On the palate it is well balanced and delicate, with silky tannins.

FOOD PAIRINGS

It goes well with red meat and aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16-20° degrees. Our Storico is not only suitable for cold days. It is extremely pleasant even in summer if it is served slightly chilled.
